About My Teaching
Drawing upon extensive performing experience, alongside my Master of Music degree from the Royal Academy of Music, I offer bespoke piano tuition across London and Surrey, as well as online. Whether you are a beginner, an advanced learner, or preparing for ABRSM exams, we will achieve your desired goals together.
I believe that students thrive most when learning is a collaborative process, nourished by an enthusiastic and supportive environment.
I will quickly identify your challenges and design bespoke technical and musical development plans specifically to your age, personality, and goals.
To ensure continuous, confident progress between our sessions, I also structure clear, individualised practice plans to guide your independent study at home.
Areas of Study
1. Exams & Auditions
For students with formal assessment goals, I provide thorough, systematic preparation to ensure achievement of your desired results:
- ABRSM/Trinity Examinations
Comprehensive guidance across all levels, from absolute beginners through to advanced grades, such as LRSM.
- Auditions:
Advanced repertoire coaching and technical refinement for students aiming to secure places at leading institusions.
- Aural Training
Sight-reading and aural training are integrated into our weekly lessons to identify weaknesses early and ensure confidence on exam day.
2. Learning for Fun & Your Own Preference
Dedicated instruction for students who wish to play purely for enjoyment without the pressure of exams. Examples of tailored study areas include exploring various musical styles, developing musical interpretation and phrasing, and refining technical skills through effective practice strategies:
- Your Personal Preferences:
We can explore a diverse variety of musical styles, focusing entirely on the repertoire you would like to play.
We will work on developing your musical interpretation and phrasing, whilst resolving technical challenges so you can play fluently and expressively.
